The full challenge, day by day

Here are the seven days. Each one has a short reading, a question to sit with, and one concrete action. You do not need to download anything to start today.

  1. Day 1

    Psalm 1

The psalm opens with two paths and a tree planted by streams of water. Question: what is my life feeding on right now? Action: pick the time of day you will read for the rest of the week and write it down.

  2. Day 2

    John 1

Who Jesus is, told from the beginning of everything, plus John the Baptist's testimony. Question: what surprises me about how he is introduced here? Action: write down one sentence from the chapter you want to remember.

  3. Day 3

    Mark 1

The fastest gospel: calling, teaching, healing, and Jesus finding a solitary place to pray before dawn. Question: where is my quiet place? Action: turn off notifications during tomorrow's reading.

  4. Day 4

    Romans 8

No condemnation, the Spirit who intercedes, and nothing able to separate us from God's love. Question: what accusation am I carrying that this chapter dismantles? Action: read the last five verses out loud.

  5. Day 5

    James 1

Faith you can see in what someone does: asking for wisdom, being quick to listen and slow to speak, not merely hearing the word. Question: where am I a hearer and not a doer? Action: do one small thing you have been postponing.

  6. Day 6

    Matthew 6

Prayer, fasting, and the passage on anxiety and the lilies of the field. Question: what is keeping me up this week? Action: write it down and pray about that specifically.

  7. Day 7

    John 15

The vine and the branches: abiding is not trying harder, it is staying close. Question: after seven days, what changed in how I read? Action: decide whether to continue with a 30-day plan or repeat this one with someone else.

Yes. The full challenge is published on this page: you can do all of it without installing anything and, if you want, keep tracking it in BibleVerse.

How long does it take each day?

Between 10 and 15 minutes. The passages are short chapters chosen to fit into a real break in your day.

Can I do it with friends?
